Pyrography and macrame workshops
As an artist, finding the joy in being creative is what drives me and sharing that joy with others is a real privilege.
Having taught wreath making, wood whittling and many a Forest School craft in the past, I am now offering pyrography and macrame classes across Buckinghamshire and the South East.
Whether you've tried these crafts before or you're looking for something completely new to try, I'm here to guide you on your way.

Introduction to pyrography
Tuesday 16th November
In this two-and-a-half-hour workshop I will guide you through the basics of pyrography and teach you how to use the tool to its best effect to create beautiful illustrations in wood.
You will be able to make four decorations on birch wood, each one about 8/9cm in diameter. You will also use natural jute twine to hang them so each of your decorations will be natural and eco friendly!
I will bring templates for various designs with me or you are very welcome to bring your own or freestyle on the day.

Saturday 27th November
My sister Jo and I believe the mindfulness that comes from crafting pairs really well with yoga - the inspiration for our first Mindful Macrame and Yoga Retreat Day. Join us for five and a half hours of 'you time'; time to relax, unwind and have some fun in the busy lead up to Christmas.
We will begin the day with a 90 minute relaxing yet challenging vinyasa yoga flow led by my sister, Jo. Beginners are very welcome as Jo's yoga session can simply be adapted to suit both beginners and more confident yogis.
Join us after yoga in a delicious vegan lunch; nourishing and warming soup with homemade sourdough.
For the last few hours of the day I will invite you to mindfully unlock your creativity to make your own macrame wreath, perfect for Christmas but also beautiful all year round. Using recycled cotton cord and natural foliage, I will demonstrate step-by-step all the techniques and skills you need to create your own work of art.

Sustainable craft workshops
I make every effort to ensure all the materials I provide for my workshops are sustainably sourced and non-toxic.
The wood I provide is locally-sourced from felled sick or dangerous trees, the oil used for sealing is natural and vegan, any paint used is ethically-sourced and made from natural pigments, and all macrame is made from recycled yarn.
